In world of Runescape, travellers can find many dangerous and not so dangerous creatures. Some of the most dangerous prefer to live in deep dungeons where they hoard treasures. Others, like goblins, prefer to live at the borders of civilization and pray on unwary travellers. Even though many of these creatures don't usually drop useful items when killed, a few drop a weapon or some gold.
For now, monsters usually approach combat in 2 ways. One kind will always fight to death. The other will try to retreat from combat and run, if on low health (i.e. down to 1 - 2 hp).
Also, some monsters are aggressive, meaning they will initiate combat, and some are non-aggressive, meaning they won't attack you. You have to come to them.
Loot is random and some rare drops happen with a probability of 1/256, or even less often. The stronger a monster, the more complex a drop table it has. Many monsters commonly drop only bones or bones and 1 or 2 gold pieces more commonly than any other item.
Note Gems: every monster droping gems have a chance to drop (rare) ANY kind of gem even diamond
Here's the Bestiary Table of Contents:
Thanks for Lv info and many new monsters: Kerrick, Lord Stone & Barry Rijsdijk
